Hathersage occurs as village in the Derbyshire Peak District, in England. It lies on the to the south bank of the River Derwent, approximately fifteen kilometres west of Sheffield. A village was known until a early twentieth century for the manufacture of needles and pins.
the village boasts a station on the Hope Valley railway line, a youth hostel, and the mediaeval church. Little John is said to have been buried in the god's acre.
Hathersage lies beneath Hathersage Moor, site of the Carl Wark fort and Higger Tor.
